IGA Carols By Candlelight 2017

Join us at Langley Park in the City on December 17 for this FREE event as we celebrate the 73rd annual IGA Carols by Candlelight.

Come down, grab a spot at 3pm and enjoy an afternoon of kid’s entertainment, face painting and food stalls. PLUS you’ll have the chance to meet the participants of our crazy carnival on wheels, the Variety WA Bash!

Then when the sun goes down and the candles are lit, sing along to your favourite carols with an all star lineup including Damien Leith, Harrison Craig, the Variety youth Choir and a host of other WA talent…and don’t forget Santa.

The evening will finish with a bang – a fireworks spectacular over the Swan River.

Telethon Community Cinemas is Perth’s family-friendly affordable community outdoor cinema proudly donating all its profits to charities improving the quality of life of kids in a health or physical ability crisis.  Over 500 volunteers run the event each year and to date over $7.75 million has been raised.

Venues are catered and fully licensed (except Mandurah) with a variety of food, drinks and confectionery.  No BYO Alcohol.

First Sunday of every month – 9.00am to 1.00pm

Presented by the Beaufort Street Network, the Art Market aims to celebrate Perth’s creative brilliance and talent in an incredible display of local artists, designers and artisans.

The Fence Gallery – Hanging on a hook or propped on easels, you will be able to view and buy canvasses, photography, paintings, illustrations and sculptures in an informal exhibition on the fences bordering the perimeter of the car park.

The Suitcase Art Park – Meet the “Suitcasers”. Artists and designers who have booked one of the limited Suitcase Spots in the Art Park area and have filled their suitcases to the brim with arty wares displayed for sale in the mini scaled suitcase stall zone.

The Stalls – Meander around the stalls chock-a-block with wares from artists, craft artisans and designers.

2017 Kyilla Christmas Market

Kyilla Park will come alive on Tuesday 19th December from 4- 8pm, with their Twilight Market, an evening filled with fun for all. There will be a very special visit from everyone’s favourite jolly man, Santa!

Gourmet products, food trucks, bouncy castles, artisan stalls, Christmas gift stalls, kids craft activities, musical entertainment with some great tunes! fresh produce, gourmet food coffee, hot food & more!

Vincent Mens Shed

The Men’s Shed concept isn’t new, with over 1000 sheds already up and running Australia wide and more being funded and built, we are part of a strongly supported movement called “The Men’s Shed Movement”.

The Vincent Men’s Shed is a community-based, non-profit, non-commercial organisation that is accessible to all men and whose primary activity is the provision of a safe, friendly and welcoming environment where men are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time in the company of other men. We predominantly work with timber, have a small welding area and have a metal lathe.  A major objective is to advance the health and well-being of their male members and to encourage social inclusion.

The Shed is located at 10 Farmer Street, North Perth, Western Australia.  We are open on the following days and times:

  • Monday 8.30am to 12.30pm
  • Tuesday 8.30am to 12.30pm
  • Thursday 8.30am to 12.30pm
  • Saturday 9.00am to 4.00pm

During these opening times our shed “Day Manager” will be there to answer any questions you have.

Tuesday Night Jazz

GREAT JAZZ every TUESDAY NIGHT!!

If you love traditional or swing style jazz, then you should go along to The Jazz Club of WA on a Tuesday night. Held at the Yokine Bowling Club, you can experience jazz in a intimate but not crowded setting.

A different band performs each night, playing traditional jazz melodies. You are encouraged to dance along or just sit and enjoy the music

A bar is onsite with drink prices below pub prices. Food is also available from the set menu.

You also receive a free cheese platter per table, as part of your entry fee. A raffle is held with prizes ranging from wine bottles to CD’s or books.

Entry is $10 for members and non members are $15 entry. Membership is only $20 for the year and entitles you to discount entry fee at Fremantle Jazz Club.

Doors open at 7.30pm and runs until 10.30pm.
